Koa loves the smell of the open road!  After years of wistful daydreaming, Danielle and I took the plunge.  What seems crazy and foolish to some, appears to us as the only sound course of action for our mental health and spiritual growth.  We have final pulled up stakes and are embarking on a year or more of global travel.  After months of shedding layers and layers of possessions and responsibilities -- and preparing our house to rent -- we hit the road with Koa for northern California.  Hanging out with Danielle's Dad, JD, and sister, Lynette, in Truckee gave us the chance to rest and plan our onward travel.  The daily hikes and mountain bike rides, and nutrious evening dinners, were just the right nourishment to set us on our path.  Thanks JD!

Time in the mountains also gave us the opportunity to reflect on on all of the love we've received from friends, family and coworkers as we said our various goodbyes (for now).  Donna and Tracy, Bryan and Tara and Norma, Jan and Dave, Salve and Jocelyn and Bob, CREST and Columbia Memorial Hospital, Donna Quinn and everyone else who took time to connect with us... thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your sincere love and appreciation.  The BBQs, bonfires, and parties were fun, memorable and touching.

To my Dad, Mike, thank you for your encouragement and helping us keep our business affairs in order.  To Victoria, thank you for your friendship and for housing us as we transited through Hood River.  Donna and Tracy: an extra thank you for taking care of our darling Koa.  She will take good care of you in return.

Meanwhile, we find ourselves teaching and practicing yoga at the Pendleton Yoga Roundup.  What a privelege and honor to immerse ourselves in such an authentic, enlivening event.  We will be back, year after year, to connect with Tanya Wildbill and help expand her beautiful vision.

And now, we're off to Turkey, India, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Laos, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia and beyond...  be well and stay in touch everyone.  ~Micah
